Intro
Hey there i’m Cherif Younis, a game developer and technical director with more than a decade of experience building worlds, systems, and tools for games. My journey spans from gameplay programming and system design to technical narrative design and optimization across Unity, Unreal Engine, and custom pipelines.
I’ve worked on projects ranging from indie experiments to AAA productions like Alan Wake II, Star Shaman, and Tiger Blade. Beyond shipped titles, I specialize in creating internal tools, automation pipelines, and performance workflows that make development faster and more scalable for studios.
I’m also passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge. Over the years I’ve taught advanced courses in game programming, optimization, and design, guiding new generations of developers to push their creative and technical limits.
Today, I split my time between building games, experimenting with new ideas, and mentoring. Whether it’s shipping a VR arcade experience, optimizing a console build, or prototyping absurd satirical games, my work always centers around creativity, systems thinking, and craftsmanship.
